About ForgePX

ForgePX is a small set of free image tools for everyday jobs: making a photo smaller, changing its format, resizing it, and removing a plain background. There is no account to create and nothing to install.

What the tools do

• Image Compressor: reduces file size by re-encoding to JPEG, WebP or PNG at the quality you choose.
• Format Converter: converts images to PNG, JPEG, WebP or BMP.
• Image Resizer: resizes by percentage, exact dimensions, fixed width or fixed height, with smooth (bilinear) or pixel-art (nearest-neighbour) scaling.
• Background Remover: removes a background by detecting the colour around the edges of the image, with brushes to add back or erase areas by hand. It works best on photos with a plain, evenly coloured background. It is not an AI cut-out tool, and busy backgrounds or fine hair will need manual touch-up.

How your files are handled

All processing happens in your browser using standard web technologies (Canvas, FileReader and Blob). Your images are not uploaded to our server. When you close the tab, the images are gone from the page. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

How the site is funded

ForgePX is free to use. We don't show ads at the moment. In the future we may show ads served by Google AdSense to cover running costs; if we do, the Privacy Policy will be updated first, and ads will not change how the tools work.

Limits worth knowing

Because everything runs on your device, very large images can be slow on older phones or computers. Re-encoding a JPEG always loses a little quality; if you need a perfect copy, keep your original file.
